What kind of Trumpet mouth piece should a young high-schooler play?
I need others advice on what to reccomend a fourteen year old student who is starting high school next year on what type of mouthpiece to buy. I;m a university graduate, a bachelor in Music and Education, and I play the trumpet. I thought that a Bach 3c or 5c would be a great choice, I would just like your opinion. Thanks (In advance)
I would say if the student has been playing for a few years, I would recommend a 5c. If they're just beginning stick with a 7c. If they're incredibly advanced at playing already...a 3c might be okay. But I would hold off on recommending that until mid-high school.
