what can i put in my cold water fish tank other than fancy goldfish?
i have a large 4 ft in length 1 1/2 width and 2 1/2 ft tall fish tank at the mo it has 6 fish 5 fancy gold fish 1 plain v.old plain goldfish they have plenty of room and are deffo not too big for the tank but i don't want any more fish i would like to know what else other than fish ie plants at the mo they are all plastic in my tank what type of plants and maybe invertebrates if there are any that can live in cold water i also am interested in cold water Plecos i have had one before but it died
i want my new tank to look professionall what colour stones should i use at the mo i have pink but have just bought a new fish tank the same size as my old one and am after a good looking modern natural and professional fish tank i know that the tank has to settle before i add my fish so i have got both of them running now one empty and one full want to get new fish tank settled with plants before i add fish

plecos are out of the question. they arent coldwater and even though they can live, they will outgrow your tank. common plecos get around 26-32 inches.
Really nothing, your best keeping it as you have it now.
To make it look professional i would take out all of the pink gravel and replace with brown looking gravel that looks more natural.
Also adding anachris to the tank which is a natural coldwater plant will give the tank a more real look.

How To Make Colors Work For You
Think Pink
Pink's one color you can really get carried away with - it never goes out of fashion and you can use it on your eyes, cheeks, lips and nails. Do be careful when using pink eye shadow though, because it can make your eyes look bloodshot if you do not watch out. Either cool the pink down by toning it with matt lilac shadow, or use a matt rosy
shade over your whole eye area to light up your eyes, and save the shocking pink for your lips and nails.
Or if you prefer a soft, pretty look, like the model in the picture shown below, then stick to pastels. Dust rosy pink shadow over the whole of the eyelids and then define with dark brown eye liner smudged along your upper and lower lashes. Stick to dusky pink lipstick to make your eyes the main focus of the make-up.
Red Hot
You cannot go wrong with red lips and nails for a touch of Hollywood-style glamour. It's pretty easy to do and everyone can carry it off. Just make sure you choose the right tone of red to suit you. If your skin tone is warm, then you can go for orange or tomato reds. Cool complexions look best with blue or purple-toned red. If your skin is very pale or very dark then you are lucky because you can carry off most shades of red.
A color like brick red can look sensational for eye make-up, mixed with shades like charcoal or khaki, and combined with tawny cheeks and lips.
Down To Earth
Browns do not have to be boring, you know. If you are adventurous, there are plenty of tones to choose from, and most importantly of all, they suit everyone. Browns make blue eyes look brighter, warm up sallow skin, and show up well on tan skin of used the right way. Brown eye shadow can create a natural look, but if you want it to be more dramatic for the evening, look out for a slightly shimmery shadows and tone your basic brown with golds, coppers and oranges to warm things up.
When buying colored eye shadow, do not be fooled by the color you see in the package because it will look totally different once it's on your skin. For instance, red eye shadow can go on as a rich cerise pink which looks brilliant.
Experiment with different textures as well as colours. Matt eye shadows give the brightest, most intense colors, but you can go for various mixtures of metallic and frosted shadow which look shimmery and rich.
Take care to build up colors gradually, making sure you use a small flat-edged brush to do it. If you like eye pencils, stick to using them for lining and defining, again making sure you blend away any hard lines.
