Which is the best SAT or ACT prep course?
I'm a junior and am completely lost with college and SAT stuff....I want to go into a really good college but my practice SAT scores aren't looking so great(I took an ACT/SAT combo test with Kaplan and got 1875 SAT and 29 ACT)...which prep classes are best and why? Revolution,Kaplan, Princeton or anything else? Im aiming for 2200 and 33...but it really seems out of reach...
First of all, don't bother taking a class. If you have the resources, you're better off hiring a private tutor, even for just a few hours to answer any specific questions you've got from doing practice problems on your own (and no Kaplan tutors please - Kaplan is just a rip-off). Buy the college board official guide and work from that, and the college board has online resources, too. I do like http://www.word-nerd.com for vocabulary review, because your average prep class does nothing, or almost nothing, to prepare you for vocabulary.
